Retired Sick Popo
Hello,
My name is James Bonnette. I retired from Law Enforcement after 30 1/4 years on 9/11/2020. Unfortunately, things have not gone well since that time medically speaking. I intended to retire to our ranch outside of Athens, TX which is my great grandparents property and get old with my wife. This year I will turn 56 so I haven't reached the "old" yet.
Problems began within 18 months of my retirement. Apparently all of the physical activity which my career demanded began catching up with me but not just that. I have developed many medical issues all about the same time. I will list them as follows:
* Severe Sleep Apnea (hopefully correcting soon)
* Degenerative Disc Disease in my spine.
* Spinal surgery to replace two discs in my spine located in my neck
* Two robotic knee replacements which are not better than the original problem
* Tarsal tunnel in both feet (yet to be addressed)
* Heart attack and subsequent Defibrillator/Pace maker
* Vasculitis autoimmune disease called Polyarteritis Nodosa (PAN) My body trying to kill itself.
* Bout with extreme chemotherapy due to PAN as well as current maintenance meds
* Ruptured disc L5/S1
* Pinched nerve S3
* Skin cancer
I started my own company after retirement building porches, decks, privacy fences and custom metal railings. Unfortunately, when all of this began hitting I had to stop working. Now I can't work at all. I can't even make a full grocery shopping trip without having to sit or lay down for the remainder of the day and some of the next. I have unfortunately left my wife toting the weight of our financial burdens which is not taking care of things at all. We lost the tractor, all of the attachments, side by side, my vehicle and much, much more. We are on the verge of losing the house, ranch and my great grandparents land due to medical bills and my inability to get around with only one vehicle which my wife has to have for work.
We need to at least pay for current medical charges which are close to $2000. Another surgery in the next month or so that I am still not sure how much that will be and we desperately need another vehicle. Not looking for a brand new or anything but something from point A to point B.
May God bless you if you can help.
