Reunite A Family

I have a roomate who’s been the key to helping me get through complex PTSD. He is 53 years old and been through a great deal in his life. Taken from his parents and sold as a child eventually landing in America and raised in foster care. He ended up taking the wrong path and went to prison, and that’s when he was able to take the time to work on himself and get his spiritual guidance in alignment with also getting his education and becoming a treatment specialist and psychologist for those with severe mental health issues and children with disabilities that stem from unhealthy and cruel childhoods.

His clinic recently shut down so he’s had to find new work and his family has all started connecting yet his mother is in El Salvador dealing with cancer which I’m trying to pay for him to go see her. I can only pay for about $3000 of his trip, I’m trying to raise more so that he can see his mother before she passes. It was 50 years of not being in her life and when he finally got the chance in 2024 he hugged her, forgave her and the weight I saw lifted from them both was one of the most genuinely perfect displays of what life is truly about.

I didn’t know this man would be my roomate and the subtle yet life changing work he’s done for me by showing me love, empathy and how to process emotions is key to my recovery from 20 plus years as a firefighter. The type of ptsd first responders get is something that we don’t see, can ruin our life’s and for me sent me into the darkest part of my life. This man has truly got me to smile daily. His shown me the tools to move forward through any situation. Please help get him to El Salvador so he can be with his mother and connect with more family.
