Our dad was hospitalized for a stroke in early October that took his ability to move his left side of his body. On his way to recovery, he unfortunately suffered an additional, very serious pontine stroke that took his speech and a lot of his right side body function. He is a hardworking man who has always put his family first — a devoted father, grandfather, cousin, brother, uncle, son, and loyal friend to so many of us. Right now, he needs a higher level of specialized care than what’s available locally, and the best option is to transfer him to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where they are specialized in giving life saving care to stroke survivors.

To make that possible, we need to arrange safe air or ground medical transport from Bloomington, Illinois. The estimated cost for the transportation and related transfer expenses is around $15,000. Every dollar raised will go directly toward getting him the specialized care he needs as quickly and as safely as possible.
