Roxie's Oncology Bills
Our 9 yo pup Roxie has now been diagnosed with 3 separate, ongoing cancers since May of 2025. Unfortunately, they are all different types of skin cancer (hemangiosarcoma, mast cell, and now melanoma), and she'll never go into remission. They require regular X-rays, ultrasounds, and bloodwork (every 3 months) to watch for it metastasizing internally. Roxie-girl has had 5 surgeries since she was first diagnosed and will likely continue to have masses removed for the rest of her life.
The good news is, she doesn't know she has cancer, and she's not had to go under any type of chemotherapy or radiation treatment. Because she's otherwise a very happy and healthy dog, we've chosen to continue with her surgery and monitoring. The bad news is that we are on a single income. After being laid off, I decided to go back to school full-time to pursue my Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work, and we have accrued a hefty debt on both credit cards and CareCredit. Let me tell you, oncology surgery and monitoring aren't cheap!
Roxie is our only daughter, and we'll do anything to keep her with us for as long as possible. We are (very humbly) seeking any help we can get... whether it's a donation, sharing this fundraiser on your social media or with people you know, or even sending well wishes; we'll take it! If there is anything we can do in return, please let us know! xoxo
Fun Facts About Our Girl: She loves all- ppl, dogs, and kiddos alike. She prefers plushie toys. She's the best snuggler. She's very fashionable, always in a bandana or sweater. She has to wear sunscreen and sunshirts outside. Her breath is very intense. Her fav things in the universe are walkies & playing tuggy. She's spoiled.
Love,
Roxie, Katie, & Jim
