Dear Friends, 

We often talking about helping our neighbor or the less fortunate, but what are we actually doing.   One of the corporal works of mercy of a christian is to Visit the Prisoners. People in prison are still people, made in the image and likeness of God. No matter what someone has done, they deserve the opportunity to hear the Word of God and find the Truth of the message of Christ.  Many are desperate souls born into a harsh unforgiving environment, raised without loving family, suffering from substance addiction, and have never know trust or love.  

The Kairos mission  is to bring the word of God through Jesus and the Holy spirit to these men and women by simply loving them.  The program is highly successful as many want a different approach to live, but don't know how.  There is no pressure, and no judgement. We have several formal prisoner in our group that are now Kairos volunteers, and I can testify that their stories are truly moving.   

As members we are committed to raising $250 each to help fund the program which includes the books, and weekend materials and food.  The Kairos ministry is non-denominational as seek to reform prisoners from the inside and help them on the outside.
