Ryley recently ruptured his back left cranial cruciate ligament, or his CCL (the equivalent to a human's ACL). Upon his thorough examination from the vet, it was determined that he also has injury to his back right CCL. He is unable to use his left leg and with time his right leg will only worsen, especially with the extra weight from being the only back leg. Surgery is recommended on both legs, starting with his worst leg first and then once the healing period (8-16 weeks) is over complete surgery on his right leg. The lower estimated cost is $2,000 per leg. He is currently on pain medication and anti-inflammatories while we work on getting him surgery and he is not allowed any exercise, which if you know Ryley then you know that is near torture. We are looking for some donations to help cover the cost since we were not prepared for such a high cost surgery this soon after having a new baby. Please help us get Ryley back to playing fetch!
