Save Najjar Fam Gaza
My name is Nina Gorman, a psychotherapist and social science teacher from Philadelphia, PA USA and human rights supporter. I am doing this campaign to help my dear friend Mohammed Al-Najjar and his wife Nadia Al Najjar from Khan Yunis, in Gaza to survive the war in Gaza along with their four children, Sama (12 years old), Siraj (10), Saif (8), and Laith (5). I came to know them on facebook social media early in the war about two years ago. Nadia has breast and glandular cancer needing continual medications and the family is afflicted by parasitic infections including all the children with rashes due to the damage of the sewage and water infrastructure. They are also chronically hungry and malnourished due to the blocking of aid by the occupation. They survive on mostly rice, bread and some beans and struggle to get vegetables and fruits as well as eggs and chicken due to their high prices with the adults not always able to eat once a day. The tent is also invaded by fleas and other insects which will likely worsen in the summer needing continual cleaning and decontamination of mattresses and clothes
I urge you to donate what you can to support this family and their extreme needs. No donation is too little.
All donations will be transferred from my secure bank account to the secure Paypal of Mohammed Al-Najjar
Here is Mohammed in his own words:
My name is Mohammed Al-Najjar from Khan Yunis Gaza. It is hard to know where to begin. My family and I like most in Gaza have suffered greatly in this war. We lost our home, our livelihood and have been displaced many times and have had to live for over two years in a tent, running place to place to escape bombing and suffering the ravages of nature leaving us cold in the winter and stifling hot in the summer. The tent is invaded by insects and rodents, fleas and parasitic diseases. My family has endured them for months because is too difficult to afford the medicines and cleaners. The tent gets damaged in the rains and we cannot afford to repair it. The smoke chokes us when we cook with wood. We always have to choose between food and medicine. My wife Nadie struggles with metastatic breast cancer that affects her glands and she needs consistent medications. The children are often sick especially now from parasites. We are hungry most of the time and malnourished from not eating and rarely can we find vegetables, fruit, meat or cheese. We have lost many in this war both friends and relatives and grieve them greatly. It often all feels unbearable and some days I feel like I cannot go on anymore. But I persist for the sake of my children. We urge you to donate what you can to help us with any amount and we will be most grateful and will never forget your generosity. Thanks for listening. May you be happy, healthy and blessed. Mohammed
