I’m writing this with a lot of humility, and honestly with a heavy heart. I’ve always been the type to find a way, work harder, push through and never ask for help- but I’ve reached a point where I can’t fix this alone. 

I’m a single mom of 3 and the last few years have been some of the hardest of our lives. 

One of my 3 children fought cancer twice. During that time, I worked full-time and went to school full-time just to hold everything together. I did whatever I had to do to keep us moving forward. 

Then life hit again. I relocated to take care of my aging parents-my mother was terminally ill with cancer- and o was her caregiver until she passed. That move, the medical trips, the constant back and forth took everything out of me emotionally, physically and financially. 

Since then I’ve been trying to rebuild from scratch. I’ve been applying for jobs nonstop, doing DoorDash to stay afloat and doing everything I can to provide for my kids without asking anyone for anything. I am not someone who sits at home doing nothing. I’ve been fighting everyday to get our lives stable again. 

But now I’m facing something I can’t outrun or outwork in time. 

All of our belongings, keepsakes, family heirlooms.. are all locked in a storage unit that is scheduled to go to auction. I no longer have access to it. The balance is just under $1700 and would require a little more to relocate back to my home state. 

I’ve exhausted every option. I’ve tried payment arrangements, side gigs, loans, everything. I’m still trying but the deadline is tomorrow and I’m out of time. 

I’m asking for help, not because I haven’t been trying but because I have tried everything I can think of and I’m terrified of losing what little we have left.
