Saving Two Lutino Cockatiels Who Can’t Wait Any Longer

Two lutino cockatiels were surrendered to the humane society in critical condition. They have been sitting there for over 2 months with no medical care, no flock comfort, and no one who understands their species. One of them is so far gone that he will not survive; and I know that. The other is in rough shape but still fighting, still trying, still responding. The shelter refuses to separate the birds.

I cannot leave them there any longer.

I don’t have the funds to take on emergency birds right now, but I also can’t turn my back on them. Cockatiels are prey animals. They hide their suffering until they collapse, and these two have already been through more than any bird should endure. They deserve warmth, safety, and dignity. Even if one only has a short time left, he deserves to spend it in a home, not a shelter cage.

I am going to pick them up.

This fundraiser is to help cover:

- Immediate vet evaluation

- Supportive care supplies

- Critical‑care nutrition

- Medications if needed

- Follow‑up visits for the one who still has a chance

- End‑of‑life comfort for the one who won’t make it

I am aware that I will lose money doing this. I know one of these birds will die, but my heart cannot allow him to die alone, scared, and unhelped. I refuse to let the other decline simply because no one stepped forward in time.
