Saving Skippyjon Jones
On November 26, my daughter's cat Skippyjon Jones Besso got sick. We took him to two vets who couldn't help him, then Skippyjon ended up seeing an emergency vet and has been hospitalized.
Skippyjon is my daughter's emotional support cat. Finleigh is autistic, hard of hearing, and lives with a lot of anxiety. She relies on him to help her cope with daily stressors and relax enough to fall asleep at night.
We have put thousands of dollars into saving Skippy's life, but we are out of funds and he still needs nebulizer treatments, IV antibiotics, and lifesaving oxygen to treat aspiration pneumonia. The vet says his prognosis is good as long as he continues to receive inpatient animal care.
Finleigh's birthday is also coming up in December. Finleigh is asking that any family or friends that were planning to send her a card or gift please make a donation to help us save Skippy instead.
I know that times are tough for everyone, and the holidays are fast approaching. If you are able to make a donation, we would greatly appreciate it. If you are unable to make a donation, please continue to keep Skippyjon and Finleigh in your thoughts and prayers.
