Saving Super Sage

Sage is my sweet two-year-old pug, and in just a matter of weeks, he has faced 2 unrelated rare medical emergencies.

On April 11th 2026, we rushed Sage to the vet believing he had pneumonia. After further testing, we learned something shocking — he actually had a rare medical condition called a lung torsion, where part of his lung twisted on itself and cut off blood flow to all his organs. It was life-threatening and required emergency surgery.

To save his life, surgeons had to remove nearly 50% of his lung.

That surgery and hospitalization totaled over $8,000 😫 Thankfully he survived and was on his way to making a full recovery.

But the story doesn’t end there- Now, only weeks later on June 1st, Sage is facing another emergency!!

What first appeared to be a urinary tract infection quickly became serious when he suddenly became unable to urinate due to a full blockage. They believe he has a kidney stone that may have caused damage to his urethra. We are currently at the animal hospital now, awaiting full results.

Just being triaged and evaluated today required a $2,500 deposit. Any additional procedures, hospitalization, and treatment may increase that total significantly.

Sage is only two years old. He is playful, loving, stubborn, cuddly, and deeply loved by everyone who knows him. Watching him go through rare back-to-back medical emergencies has been emotionally and financially overwhelming & draining.

I am asking for help covering Sage’s emergency medical care so we can continue giving him the treatment he needs to survive and recover.

Every donation, share, and prayer truly means the world to me. Even if you cannot donate, sharing Sage’s story could help save his life.
