Greetings!

Recently, my school has given me the incredible opportunity to take an educational trip to Belize. While in Belize I will get to participate in multiple conservation efforts, immerse myself in local culture, and explore its natural wonders. I am excited about making a difference in Belize by assisting in conservation efforts like beach cleanups and reforestation. Volunteering is a fulfilling activity that will enhance my work ethic and create a sense of community with my travel group. It will also be fascinating to experience Belizean culture while cooking local cuisine, getting drumming and dance lessons, and participating in activities like planting seeds, pruning cacao trees, and harvesting fruit. I am thrilled that I have the chance to learn about another culture by being a part of it. Another exciting aspect of this trip is exploring the different landscapes by ziplining over the rainforest, visiting Mayan archeological sites, and snorkeling across the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere! On top of all that, I have the chance to make great connections with the group of students I'm traveling with, and all the locals and tour guides I will encounter along the way!

Exploring a different part of the world than I live in and immersing myself in its culture will be a valuable, truly life-changing experience to expand my worldview and help me grow as a person. If you would like to help me do that by going to Belize please consider donating!
