Greetings Dear Community,

Our friend&neighbor, Samira, is experiencing some financial hardship right now and could really use our help. Samira is raising her 5 beautiful children all on her own, while also caring for her aging mother who's suffering from heart disease. Her children lost their father to deportation several years ago, then she became a widow after he was killed back in Somalia.

Despite enduring this incredible loss and trauma, I am absolutely humbled by Samira's resilience. She is an amazing fighter and has been holding it together, providing for her family all on her own. Her children are safe, well fed and stabley housed. But, just recently she lost her job and is not eligible for unemployment. Her car broke down last week. She's borrowing one of ours for now, but will need to get hers back up and running and could use some support with bills as well. Her mechanic stated she needs a new engine and transmission which will cost around $5,000.00.
