My son and his family have been fostering for 8 years. They've loved many children with physical and emotional disabilities. Selina came into their family in 2019 at the age of 6. They adopted her in 2020 and she became their 4th child. Selina is confined to a wheelchair. She has spina bifida, cerebral palsy, is legally blind, needs a g-tube for feeding care and has other medical conditions. In 2020 she was in the hospital for 37 days and due to COVID complications a parent was with her 24/7. My son who is sole financial support, took off time to rotate care of Selina and their 3 other children for 3 months of FMLA unpaid time off for her care since when she came home from the hospital, she still had 8 tubes sticking out of her. She had a cecostomy tube added to prevent constipation which needs daily flushes in the bathroom for over an hour.

 As a family they enjoy camping on weekends and is how they vacation. Their oldest has severe celiac, so staying in hotels are not easy because of her special diet and other requirements. Selina has seen family camping pictures and they've tried to continue going tent camping and to church camp cabins, but with her bathroom requirements it makes it very difficult.

 I found a local camping trailer company that makes handicap trailers with a roll in shower/toilet it's called Dune Sport https://dunesport.com/toy-hauler/wheelchair-accessible. They are lightweight trailers that their handicap lift van can pull. They have tried to find used because the cost is around $45,000. for the smallest. There is a waitlist they Need to get on. My goal is to make Selina's Wish come true and to give them family time to continue enjoying the outdoors and open up a new world to Selina! Please help my newest granddaughter enjoy camping with her family.
