Hello, my wife Laura got sick suddenly with what we thought was a simple stomach bug. Wow were we wrong!! Tests came back and she was admitted to the icu immediately. Severe sepsis!! After mris and ct scans, they found several abscesses and sites of infection inside her body. Apparently she had developed sepsis from an asymptomatic urinary tract infection. She has been in the hospital for over a month now and there seems to be no end in site. Everyone they find and drain one abscess, it moves to a different part of her body. She has had surgery on her spine, has had 4 ct guided drain aspirations and drain placements, a stent in her kidney, as well as multiple mri’s, ct scans etc. I’ve been active in her care at the hospital and lost my job bc of it. Now the living expenses, and medical expenses are piling up!! We need all the help we can get please.
