Service dog
As a parent, all you ever want is to give your child the support they need to live the happiest and safest life possible. Today, I’m reaching out to ask for your help in making that possible for our 11-year-old son.
We are a family of seven with five amazing children, four of whom are on the autism spectrum. Our son has Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 3, Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED), PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, sensory processing challenges, and a history of elopement. Everyday tasks that many take for granted can be overwhelming and, at times, unsafe for him.
We were incredibly blessed to receive a grant that covers the specialized training for his service dog—a blessing we will never take for granted. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are now responsible for raising the funds needed to purchase the dog itself.
A service dog would be life-changing for our son. It would provide safety during moments of elopement, emotional support during times of anxiety and sensory overload, and help him gain confidence and independence as he continues to grow.
As parents, we will always do everything we can to advocate for our children and ensure they have access to the resources they need to thrive. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and we are humbly asking for your support.
If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, every dollar brings us one step closer to bringing his service dog home. If donating isn’t possible, sharing our fundraiser with your friends and family would mean just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for your kindness, your prayers, and your support. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us give our son the chance at a safer, more independent future. ❤️
