Cole is a 3 year old nonspeaking boy with severe Autism. He is one of the sweetest little guys you will ever encounter. Engaging in a world saturated with overwhelming stimulation is a difficult task for Cole. He has been working hard through multiple therapy modalities to learn communication skills and hit developmental milestones since shortly after his first birthday when he lost the ability to speak. Cole has many sensory issues, and is drawn to cars and the street. He does not recognize the danger this presents. His Newfoundland puppy, Benelli, is starting her training to become his service dog. We have big goals for Benelli as far as service tasks, but Cole’s safety will be her top priority. From day one, Benelli and Cole have had a special connection. She knows that he is HER boy and she is ready to learn to support his needs. The final cost of her training will be determined as she works through her sessions.
