Every paycheck I load enough cash on my Public Transit Card to get me to and from work for the next two weeks.

But this week was a little different than other weeks.

This week I took a few extra trips to visit a family member in the hospital.

So, instead of having cash for transit home, or even to the hospital, my account ended up at ZERO before payday.

If it wasn't for the generosity and quick action of a few good friends, I would've been hoofing it miles across the city to get to the hospital, and eventually home.

It just got me thinking.

I've been moving through most of my adult life with my gift for creative writing practically buried, like a dime in a dollar. 

And I can't expect any change unless I'm willing to be spent...

Spent doing, and sharing with the world, the gift I've been given, the work that challenges me, the work that I've grown to love.

I am a writer, and right now, right here, I am allowing my gift to make room for me, by making room for my gift.

All I ask is that you donate what you feel is appropriate, and help me share my gift with the world.

Doing so will not only help me meet the my immediate financial needs, but the immediate needs of others.
