Sharon's Health Support

In August 2019, just one day before her 73rd Birthday, Sharon suffered a second stroke and a rather rough fall. The fall resulted in a broken arm and a month's stay in the hospital, followed by two weeks of acute therapy. Her diagnosis has shown that her atrial fibrillation was one of the main contributors to her stroke. As research has shown, the risk of more stokes is increased for Sharon. According to her doctors and experts, the best way to reduce the risk of having another stroke and control her a-Fib is a specific medicine (Eliquis). This medication is very expensive, and while we are exhausting all possibilities with her cardiologist with free samples as we can get them, as well as applying for aide with the drug manufacturer - She is not able to afford the prescribed medication on her fixed income.

I'm Greg, her son - and I made a promise to my Dad before he passed away from cancer, that I would take care of Mom. I believe that reaching out to all of the friends and family that love Sharon, is helping me fulfill that promise I made to my Dad seven years ago now.

If you have ever been the beneficiary of one my Mom's dinner parties, family holiday gatherings, or homemade Christmas Candy - then I would humbly and graciously ask for your help now. We all know how my Mom was the consummate Hostess, and her generosity always shined through in the food she cooked for us and the help she was always willing to give.

Thank you all so much!
