Hey you! I'm so happy you're here! I'm currently working along with my family to raise funds for our mother, Shawna. My mom suffers from a chronically painful and debilitating disease which can result in being wheelchair bound to bedridden. Some cases have slow progression while others it spreads like wildfire. CRPS typically starts after an injury, which was the case with mom. She rolled her ankle and little did she know, her life would be forever changed. The disease has moved into her other limbs and her GI system. She's doing everything in her power to survive her pain naturally and not allowing herself to become wheelchair bound. She's strong, she's a fighter. This disease is called the suicide disease because the pain is off the charts. It's also an invisible disease because by looking at someone, they may look fine from the outside while they mask the hell they're literally living in every single day. By early afternoon she's in intense pain, by evening it's almost more than she can bear. She's finding herself crawling into bed earlier and earlier in hopes of the slightest relief. This disease has isolated her, she's not able to go go go and enjoy life like she used to. She rarely leaves her house and has no social life outside of her family and a couple friends.

All that to say....we found specialized treatment at the Spero Clinic in Arkansas. People from all over the world come just to be treated by this doctor. The clinic is amazing, the team is amazing. They're so passionate about what they do and truly love their jobs and helping/saving people. CRPS can be put into remission so while our goal is remission, we'd be ecstatic if she could go back to living a life with minimal pain, enjoying her grandbabies, being a nurse saving lives and traveling again!
