Hi everyone,

I am reaching out today on behalf of my boyfriend, Shawn, who is facing an urgent medical crisis. He has developed a painful hernia that requires surgical repair as soon as possible to prevent life-threatening complications, as it is getting worse day by day.

Because he is currently unemployed and I am currently a college student, we do not have health insurance, we are facing the terrifying reality of trying to fund a major medical procedure entirely out of pocket. We live in Troy, TN, and are working hard to connect with local clinics and non-profit hospital charity programs, but the upfront costs for surgical consultations, pre-op testing, and the facility fees are incredibly overwhelming.

Shawn is an incredibly hardworking, caring person who is currently unable to work or perform basic daily activities due to the severe pain and the risk of the hernia worsening. It's time for someone to try to help him the way he does others, Every dollar raised through this page will go directly toward:

• Surgical consultation and pre-op bloodwork
• The surgeon, anesthesia, and hospital facility fees
• Post-operative medications and recovery care
