On Thursday February 8, 2024 Shelby woke Justin up and she was shaking and whining at approximately 4:30 around 6:30 in the morning she Woke me (Stephanie) up in the same manner by 11AM we were like something isnt right. She was walking and peeing pooping, we took her to urgent care- they gave her an exam and prescribed medication we gave her the first dose of medication and an hour later she lost movement in her back left leg, back to urgent care, were they decided she needed to have a ct - they suspected a disc in her spine was bulging or ruptured, so we got sent to the emergency hospital, it took them 3 hours to do the ct then we were sent back to urgent care and given a packet and sent home! In the course, that night i was pooped on twice. Friday, she really didnt pee, and didnt poop till almost 11:30 at night. She was eating and drinking . Saturday morning, she had tinkled on the bed, then peed all over both of us and has peed so much today - as exciting as that should be we are presented with another problem - she now may have a uti, im trying so hard to be optimistic her and let he medication and rest do its job. But we still dont know if they are going to say this is going to require surgery and if it does we are looking at travel expenses, surgical expenses, medication, home care expense for cleaning and keeping her safe. Already we have spent $3000, we have already been told numbers upwards of $10000
