My son was shot in the leg at close range. An unknown person, to him, was waving a gun around and playing with it. My son asked him if he would please put the gun away because it made him feel uncomfortable. He then turned to walk up the stairs and the shooter followed and shot him. The bullet shattered his leg bones, tore his main artery, shattered muscle and nerves. A young man in the bathroom came out and tried to help, my son with a tourniquet, he then passed out and almost bled to death. He lost 1/2 of his bodies blood at the scene.A Colorado Springs policeman helped save his life and they had to resuscitate him at the scene.

He has had 4 surgeries in a week and many more to come. The shooter had to step over him, while my son was bleeding to death, in order to run. They are still looking for him.
