Show Audrey Some Love <3
We're devastated over here at American Maid Cleaning, LLC. Audrey has worked for us for 15 years. Of all the employees we have hired in the last 27 years I can honestly say that Audrey is in the TOP 1% of all-time best Team Members! She has cared for her Clients like they were her own family, going out of her way to do something special for them more times than I can count. She treats the other Team Members as though her own happiness depends on theirs - buying them meals, calling after hours, visiting during needy times, pushing them toward their goals, supporting everyone at all times even when we come to find out that she is literally dying of Stage 4 Colon Cancer.
In the week before Audrey was diagnosed she worked every day, sick as a dog. She listened and supported the Team Member who had a small cut that she was worried might get infected. She chose to come into work so that another Team Member could have a day of rest. She had a meeting with our Operations Manager to talk about her lack of speed and she came up with a plan to improve and try harder (with CANCER) She didn't try to say that she was really sick, or tired, or in a lot of pain - all of which were true - those are the reasons she ended up in the hospital. No matter the issue, Audrey always steps up and looks for how she can make things better. She is a perpetual ray of sunshine for all of us and I can't even begin to imagine what a sadder place it will be without Audrey in it!
As I sit here crying, I'm thinking that she would hate it! She's not crying, she's figuring out next steps, she's worrying about her hubby, she's trying to eat when nothing tastes good, she's making it through chemo, she's getting up and out and visiting US, she's still making us all laugh - I almost feel guilty, lol!
15 years as a residential house cleaner - even at the top of your trade - does not afford someone the resources needed to weather the Cancer storm. I'm asking that you help out with whatever you can.
American Maid will match all monies donated in the month of July.
Please go to our Facebook page and share some Love, Hope, Support, and Prayers also, but please donate FIRST if you can. There has never been a person who would appreciate it more than Audrey Coppernoll!
