- HELP ME…. HELP OTHERS LESS FORTUNATE!
As of earlier this year, I quit work because I felt my life moving in a different direction. Feeling very grateful and blessed for all that I have, I want to give back!
You all know how I love to travel and I've been to many places but never in my wildest dream thought I'd travel to Africa! (which was never on my bucket list) Well, never say never as I've been given an opportunity to go on a 3 week missionary/tour/safari to Kenya this August 2019. By the grace of God, I will get to see a few charities that are close to my good friend and parish priest, Father James Kairu's heart. I've decided to pick this one charity “Sigomre Small Home” to help fund raise some much needed money for the physically challenged children at Sigomre Small Home.
I am drawn to Sigomre Small Home and will get to witness first hand what this charity is all about. I want to help them. In order to help those less fortunate than us, I am appealing to you…my friends, to help me help this charity by donating USD20 to my cause. If you wish to donate more, that would be fantastic and gratefully accepted (unfortunately am not able to issue a tax receipt). I have an ambitious goal of USD10,000 to fund raise. On top of every dollar donated by you, I will match those donations up to USD10,000 myself to make my target of USD20,000 which is in the proposal from Sigomre Small Home shown below. I will happily take whatever total donations collected and distribute them to this charity in need.
I want to sincerely thank you for your generosity and may God bless you for your kindness. If you want to share this with your other friends to help out too, that would be most appreciated. I will keep you posted when I go to Kenya.
During a convocation speech, actor Denzel Washington once said:
“don't just aspire to make a living, aspire to make a difference!”
