Silent cries
Just a single mom with a big heart for dogs that have been treated unfairly. The abused, neglected, old and forgotten.
For many years I have rescued not only dogs but any animal that comes my way in need of support. From mice to possums, I've helped them all. Dogs just seem to win my heart because there are so many being over bread, neglected, and thrown away. They are silently crying out for help and just a glimpse can often tell you a million words. I have seen many cruel people dispose of their animals just to get new ones as well. All of this is very unfair and unfortunately none of them can speak out. They do have feelings, they get cold just like anyone else, and they are more loyal than most humans. Why neglect something that would never give up on you.
At the end of the day I'm always here with my arms wide open to any animal that needs a safe place, vet care, food, water, grooming, toys, and last but not least love. I rehab, vaccinate and neuter all dogs that I come across before rehoming. I never seek any kind of fee when I re-home, but make sure that the dog is a perfect fit for the family. I have never asked for help from anyone for any part of this rescued family, until right now.
I currently have 4 rescues in my home along with my twin boys that are 16 months old. The holidays are here and I've reached my limit on two credit cards and I now have to reach out and ask if there's anyone out there that could provide me some assistance. My latest rescues have needed so much medical care that I'm now struggling to pay my own bills, on top of Christmas for my twin boys and my washer that just broke on me. Let me tell you these babies stories so maybe everyone can better understand why I would put myself in this position.
Two puppies that I rescued had to have emergency vet care due to malnutrition. Skin and bones, but huge bloated bellies I couldn't walk away. Found neck to neck on one chain at 4 months old, crying silently for anyone to help them. Flooded with fleas, and ear mites on top of double ear infections suffering. They had to have all vaccines and be dewormed as well. One pup had a severe reaction to the fleas, and has had to be seen almost every week since I took him in. He has to have special food, and needs to be groomed every time he comes in from outside because his skin is so sensitive to everything it comes in contact with. He just started monthly allergy shots so hopefully this will do the trick. He has had to undergo multiple tests, skin scrapes, and medications to fully understand what is wrong.
They are doing much better now, thankfully. Both pups have doubled in weight, are learning to be not aggressive with food, and are learning simple commands. With how quickly they are growing I also had to get new crates to fit their size, and blankets due to chewing/teething. They are set up to be neutered and microchipped just not paid for yet. Once this is done, they will be looking for their forever homes.
I'm reaching out for help so I can get back on my feet out of debt, get my children's Christmas presents, and buy a new washing machine as I can not afford to go another time to the laundry mat. My electric bill has not been paid in a month, and my car needs breaks. I just need someone to hear me and understand why I do what I do.
If I had the funding, support, and knowledge I would open my own rescue. I would be the last stop for the old, the first stop for the abused, and the only stop for any animal in need of some love. One day, this would be my dream.
Please consider helping someone that tries to save the world, one dog at a time. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read my story and hear my struggles. Asking for help is very hard for me to do. So again, thank oyou.
