I’m a single parent working as a home visitor in my community, supporting new and expecting parents. My job is to travel directly to families, helping them navigate pregnancy, early parenting, and providing guidance and support during such an important time in their lives. It’s work I truly care about, but it requires me to be on the road every day.

My car isn’t just transportation, it’s essential for my job and for taking care of my daughter.

Recently, my car broke down, and I was told repairs would cost at least $1,500 just to begin and that still wouldn’t fix the major transmission issues. Despite addressing problems as they come up, new repairs continue to arise, and reliability has become a real concern. My trusted mechanic has now advised that it is no longer worth continuing to repair due to the ongoing cost and likelihood of further issues.

Without a reliable vehicle, I’m struggling to get to work, support the families who depend on me, and get my daughter to school. This situation is putting my livelihood at risk, and as a single parent household, that’s something I can’t afford to lose.

I’m hoping to raise funds to help me purchase a dependable used car so I can continue working, supporting families in my community, and providing for my daughter without interruption. Having reliable transportation would bring stability back into our lives.
