March 21st.  This marks the day each year for recognizing Single Parents.  For many of us, particularly single mothers, it is not a day of celebration.  Single mothers are notably the poorest population in America, even while some receive governmental or parental assistance.  This means the children raised by single moms, have many challenges to overcome in their young lives.  Single moms are financially, physically and, often mentally, exhausted.  This does not have to be so.

Hi, my name is Stephania Smith, and I have been praying for the right way to be an ambassador for Christ in this generation.  As a single mother myself, I know that my calling is to "prosper where I am planted".  After having a prosperous career of over 20 years in corporate America, and having earned 2 degrees, I too, struggled to provide just basic living necessities, maintain a balanced sense of health and mental clarity, all while being a single mother.  I still remember the pain of living in our car, and even an office building, simply because I could no longer afford our mortgage, food and utilities at my rate of income pay.  No one knew that I had those many nights and tears.  I have gained great respect for today's economy; times have changed, yet the income for single mothers still can not match the expense need of raising children solo.  I have a passion and simple wisdom education for single mothers that I must teach.  With the newest technology, Single Mothers Success can reach mothers without cars and/or babysitters; the dawn of Single Mothers Success can happen right in their own homes.  I am excited to be the vessel of example.

March 21, 2017 marks my first day of operation of Single Mothers Success, a soon-to-be 501(c)3 ministry of productivity, wisdom, and rise for single mothers.  This organization has been growing in my Spirit for over 10 years.  I have personally navigated the solo parenting waters as a single, homeschooling mother, and proudly I must say, now, of a high school-aged, homeschooled teenager.  

The vision is really simple:  change the culture, persona and financial status of single mothers from the inside out.  The God-sized goals over the next 5 years of the organization will reshape the structure of single families to be more Christ dependent, and actually become financially capable to sustain as single mothers in today's economically-driven society.  The heart and wisdom of Christ is at the center of our organization; our single mothers health and independent financial stewardship is part of that nucleus.  

With this Campaign Step 1:

The $3,000 raised will fund the following:

* Incorporation of the Organization, Single Mothers Success

* Filing of the 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation 

* Professional services of an Attorney and Tax Advisor in formulation of organization

This campaign is just the first step, but very important to the fiber of Single Mothers Success.  Every donation during this campaign, even $20 is of great help.  This initial campaign is set to receive all funds to gain full 501(c)3 status and submit application by April 2017.

After this 1st campaign, the next step for Single Mothers Success:

* Development of Success for Single Mothers online website

* Promotional online seminars and membership campaign

* Development and marketing of Online Success Academy
