Skinner Family Fund
First, and foremost, I would like to state that funds will be used for life prolonging care for Gina, as she continues her battle with cancer. So the need is great and time is of the essence.
Gina Skinner was originally diagnosed with cancer in 2018. She underwent treatment after having her 6th child in early 2019. In January of 2020, tests indicated she was cancer free, however, in June she found out the cancer returned. The cancer has now metastasized to her bones and lungs. Gina began treatments in August, however, her recent diagnosis determined that surgery is now warranted. As a result, it is anticipated that the needed care and treatment will place a major financial burden on the family.
Craig and Gina Skinner have six wonderful and loving children that range in age from 1-1/2 to 14. Their family is their life. Gina put her career as a Registered Nurse on hold, to be home with and care for their children. Through Gina's cancer and treatment, her children were always her priority, with her and Craig making sure the kids lives were as uninterrupted as possible. They made sure the kids continued to pursue their love for dance and theater, as well as sports. Craig is a wonderful involved father, who has worked full-time, yet always found time to coach his children, and other children in the community in a variety of sports. It's not uncommon to see Craig and his children riding their bikes to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
The funds will be used to help with medical treatments/travel/hidden expenses that could be as high as $100,000 for one treatment regimen.
In addition, if anyone is familiar with any other entities I can contact to assist the Skinner family financially, with anything from food, to paying utilities, etc., while they go through this very trying journey, please let me know.
