I recently adopted Smoky, who lived on the streets until he was captured by his original foster mom, Laurie. He had severe trauma to the left side of his head. Laurie was able to secure a private sponsor who funded his emergency eye removal surgery, however significant health challenges remain. A CAT scan revealed the only solution for his chronic ear disease as a result of the head trauma is a Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA). The cost of surgery is estimated at $4000 which must be raised through private donations. Any funds raised in excess of surgery costs will be donated to Columbia Humane Society in St. Helens, Oregon.
