🎉 Support My Journey — And Help Me Build One for Others! 🥎🏐
Hi, I’m Calliegh McDowell, I’m 16 years old and have been playing softball and volleyball since 7th grade. These sports have shaped who I am — they’ve given me confidence, built my leadership skills, and taught me what it means to work hard and show up for my team.
I’m currently raising funds to help cover the cost of my traveling softball and volleyball seasons, but this is about more than just me. I recently had the heartbreaking experience of watching an amazing softball team fall apart — not because of talent or effort — but because two of our players couldn’t afford to stay. We couldn’t replace them in time, and the entire season fell apart.
That moment lit a fire in me.
I don’t just want to play — I want to create opportunities for girls like me who love the game but are facing financial roadblocks. I’ve seen how the right coaches, a mental health-focused mindset, and year-round training can change lives. My long-term goal is to launch a nonprofit that provides scholarships, gear, and travel support for girls in softball, volleyball, and eventually other sports too.
Right now, I’m raising money for:
- My 2025 travel team fees (tournament entry, uniforms, travel)
- Startup funds for a local nonprofit and gear bank
- A community fundraiser I’m launching with spray-paint stencils for yards and driveways to help build team spirit and raise awareness locally
Eventually, I want to give away gear like gloves, bats, knee pads, cleats, catching equipment — and grow into other sports like soccer, basketball, and track. Every donation is a step toward that dream.
If you believe in the power of sports, community, and teen-led change — I’d be honored if you’d support me or share my story. Recruiters, coaches, mentors — I’m here, working hard, playing with heart, and planning for something bigger than myself.
⚾🏐💪
Thank you so much for believing in girls like me. Let’s build something amazing — together.
With gratitude,
Calliegh McDowell
