Please Help Us Protect Our Father’s Legacy

On April 16, 2024, we lost our father, a proud Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force his last 22 yrs for the United States of America and a veteran who dedicated over 40 years of his life to serving this country. He was a true patriot, having served in every military branch except the Coast Guard and completing two tours in Vietnam and Iraq. He lived to serve others, always giving back to fellow veterans, soldiers and to the People who are less fortunate not only in the states also in the Philippines every time he went to visit. 

Losing him was devastating, but what followed has been even harder. The executor of his estate—someone we once trusted , has gone radio silent for nearly a year. Instead of fulfilling her legal duties, she has refused to communicate, failed to share important documents, and has possibly been selling off our father’s belongings, including family heirlooms, military memorabilia from his father, my Grandfather, who was also US Military and even personal keepsakes meant for his children and grandchildren.. thats what I really wanted .. it’s the memorabilia, pictures..his legacy 

We recently discovered a notebook listing her plans, with notes like 1. “change my dad’s passwords” and “money money money” confirming our worst fears. We have tried to get answers, the only thing that has been mailed to us was a paper from my fathers lawyer , with computer arrows , it looks so fake , stating his three children , are all the beneficiaries. I called everyday , every morning , leaving messages but with no response. I’m still in shock so we are left with no choice but to fight legally for what is rightfully ours since she had an ill intent especially when my father got sick 13 yrs ago, finding a way to come back to my fathers life , she really showed her true colors ,she stopped talking to me , 2 weeks prior to my dad dying. We had to fight our way through the funeral arrangements too , it’s been so challenging.

Why We Need Your Help

  •   Saving Our Father’s Belongings: Some of his possessions, including military flags and personal heirlooms, are now in storage. If we don’t raise at least $700 by April 17, 2025, they will be auctioned off—the day after his one-year anniversary.

  •   Travel & Recovery Costs: Flying down to retrieve these items and driving back home will add to our expenses.

•   Legal Fees: Challenging an executor who is mishandling an estate can be expensive, and we have no idea how much this legal battle will cost.

  •   Securing Our Family’s Inheritance: Our father and grandmother owned property in the Philippines, and we fear she may be attempting to take and sell everything , and the house without rightful notice. 

We never imagined we’d be in this position, my siblings said , people were going through my fathers things while in bed his last days, but we refuse to let our father’s legacy be erased just like this..Any support—whether financial, sharing this fundraiser, and keeping us in your prayers—means the world to us.. His Birthday is coming up 3.26 so we want to go to Washington Crossing National Cemetery , where he was laid to rest and have a memorial service & tell him that I’m being just like him.
