Six months ago, my 16-year-old son moved away to live with his mom, while his sister stayed here with me. Since then, he’s been struggling not just with the move, but with the emotional toll of being away from the life he knew and loved.

He misses his sister deeply. He misses his friends. He misses his school and the sense of stability he had here. While he’s still with his dog his best companion through all of this it’s been a tough six months. Things between him and his mom haven’t been easy, and he’s made it clear he wants to come back home.

And I want nothing more than to make that happen.

I’ve been working hard and saving to move into a bigger place so he has a safe, stable home to return to. But time is running out. He only has until May before he no longer has a place to stay where he is and I need help to bring him home before that happens.

Your support will go directly toward the cost of the trip getting him and his dog home safely, packing up their things, and covering any expenses along the way. Any remaining funds will help us secure rent so both of my kids and their pup can be together again under one roof, where they feel safe and supported.
