Our Mission
To provide constructive educational, leadership, problem solving, and life-skills that cultivates a new way of thinking for youths in Mastic Beach, Mastic, Shirley and the surrounding community. We are a group of individuals dedicated to improving the lives of our youth without prejudice of race, gender, or religion.
Executive Summary
The SOY Program maintains an office in Suffolk County, New York. The organization is led by the founder and Executive Director, Gladys Stackhouse. Gladys has extensive experience in early childhood education, with a strong focus on children with troubled backgrounds, youth, who need direction, career seeking youth, and physically and mentally disabled youth and aspiring youths from all walks of life.
The management team of the SOY Program consists of Gladys Stackhouse and she will be taking a hands-on management role in the company. In addition, we have assembled a board of advisors to provide expertise in both management and all program activities. The advisors are made up of professionals such as a consultant, teachers, pastors, community leaders, entrepreneurs, workers, medical doctor and a lawyer.

Our Services
We envision transformation of youths (ages 12-23) through mentorship and providing a variety of core life skills in an effort to direct them on how to become productive members of society. The support and services provided will include:
Education and vocational training;
Job search assistance-entry;
Cause-Effect/deterrent skills program to include (consequences of texting, drinking and driving);
Counseling and instill a sense of pride;
Increase a greater sense of understanding of decision making;
Counseling and self-awareness development;
Identify and engage high-risk youth in case management
Mobilize the community
Conduct youth outreach
Prepare a public education campaign
Involve faith leaders
Mediate conflict
Provide referrals to local agencies
Have presence in the streets in the neighborhood violence occurs
