I am so embarrassed but I’m taking the advice of some really nice people who offered help suggestions. I’m a single mom of 4. I have 3 children at home and 1 of them has Tuberous Sclerosis which they tell me is terminal. I refuse to believe that. Kayla is 17, she’s 84lbs and 4ft 11inches. She has a condition that causes tumors to grow on major organs. They sometimes call them tubers. Kayla has 3 in her head. 2 in the back on each side and 1 in the front so she’s off balance and is a very wobbly walker on her toes. She uses a wheelchair, it’s the only safe way we can move her. She has seizures every single day. I’m sure you can imagine what that is like. Sometimes I just sit and cry with her. I work as much as I can. She has a specialist for each organ, they all have to be checked. I’m having a very hard time getting her the equipment she needs. She has a wheelchair for school but I do not have a van that is accessible so she can only use that chair with the medical van for school. Medicaid will allow you one chair so I have a regular wheelchair that doesn’t fit her with straps I bought to try and secure her and that is what I use to take her to the Dr. Our deck is falling apart and we do not have a ramp. I would love my deck repaired and a ramp for her so we don’t need to garage her wheelchair. I cannot afford a van that has the capability to put a wheelchair in it and I’m not asking for one. I’m trying to get an adult stroller approved by Medicaid. All in all we need some help. I don’t even know what amount to put on this fundraiser. I just want a secure chair, my deck replaced or repaired but honestly it’s really bad and a ramp. I’m on social media and there are many that know my family. I want you to know she is real and we are legit needing help. Please ask me for proof if you want it and if I can add pictures you will see everything.
