💜 Help Me Create a Place Where Every Child Belongs

Sometimes, a dream begins with your child.

For me, that dream began with my two-year-old daughter, Isabelle.

Isabelle is nonverbal and autistic, and she has opened my eyes to a world I never knew I would experience. She has taught me that the things many people take for granted—going to a playground, walking into a busy children's center, or simply finding a place to play—can sometimes be incredibly difficult for a child with sensory needs.

As her mom, I have watched her experience the world differently.

I've seen how loud noises, bright lights, crowds, and overwhelming environments can turn something that is supposed to be fun into something stressful.

And I've found myself wishing for something that shouldn't feel so hard to find:

A place where my daughter could simply be a child.

A place where she wouldn't have to fit into someone else's idea of how a child should play.

A place where she could explore without being overwhelmed.

A place where she could feel safe.

A place where she could be herself.

That is where Spectrum Play was born.

💜 Spectrum Play will be more than an indoor playground.

It will be a place created with children like Isabelle in mind.

A place with sensory-friendly play equipment, soft-play areas, swings, slides, interactive activities, calming spaces, and quiet areas for children who need a moment to breathe.

But most importantly, it will be a place where children won't be made to feel like they don't belong.

Because every child deserves the chance to laugh.

Every child deserves the chance to play.

Every child deserves to make memories.

And every child deserves to belong.

I also want Spectrum Play to be a place for parents.

A place where a parent can walk through the doors and know, "I'm not alone."

A place where families can meet others who understand the challenges, the victories, the tears, the celebrations, and all of the little moments that come with raising a child with different needs.

I started this dream because of my daughter.

But I don't want it to stop with my family.

I want to build it for all of the children and families who have ever felt like there wasn't a place for them.
