Brandin Jefferson (Sandan, Lafayette, Louisiana) is the primary instructor for Lafayette Karate Club's Junior Warriors. He is an alternate instructor for LKC's Adult classes, and an alternate instructor & coach for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Karate Club.
He has competed many in regional and national tournaments and has placed in the top 3 consistently in the last several years. He became the Men's Heavyweight Kumite champion at the 2024 All South Tournament in April and, in March, he earned the privilege of being selected to represent the USA as a member of the JKA (Japanese Karate Association) National Team at the JKA Karate World Championships, 2024 in Japan. It is an honor we feel he truly deserves!
Why is his achievement special? The selection process for JKA National Team membership is a grueling one and we are so proud of our own Sensei for the commitment and dedication it takes to achieve such a goal! His friends and colleagues at Lafayette Karate Club and the UL Lafayette Karate Club would like to make his dream of competing at the World Championships in Japan a reality for himself and his Coach - and we're asking for your help!!
