Help Our Girls Wrestling Team Get Back on the Mat After Devastating Theft

Our Story:

Dear community, friends, and family,

Our dedicated Spanish Springs High School Girls Wrestling Team recently faced a shocking and heartbreaking setback. While stopping for a meal at a Chick-fil-A in Vallejo, California following a tournament on Saturday, December 6, 2025, thieves stole nearly $10,000 worth of essential team equipment, tech items, clothing and money out of the team vehicle.

The stolen items included:

• Wrestling Gear - shoes, singlets, headgear
• 2 computers girls were using to do school work
• AirPods x3, Beats headphones, Apple watch series 11
• Nikon camera and 4 lenses
• School backpacks, duffle bags, wrestling backpacks
• Clothing, shoes, makeup, jewelry, hydros, cash
• The team’s trophy and medals they earned from the tourney
• The police are unlikely to recover the items or funds.
• These girls have worked incredibly hard and are excited for the season. They will remain mentally tough in all situations, including this one. The wrestling equipment is necessary for them to keep competing, at this point Q&D Construction has purchased new shoes and headgear for the girls. We will be getting some replacement singlets soon.

Our Goal

We are reaching out to our community for support to replace the stolen equipment and funds, and ensure our girls can continue to pursue their passion without this immense burden. Our goal is to raise $9,000 to cover the cost of:

• New Equipment: Huge thank you to Q&D Construction who purchased new equipment for the girls.
• Uniforms/Gear: singlets and gear bags
• Tech Items: Computers, camera, AirPods, Apple Watch, Beats
• School Clothing items
• Personal clothing items
