Alana DeSciora is a hardworking social worker, a loving mother of a 9-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son, and a friend who has touched countless lives. She is now facing the overwhelming challenge of living with Superior Mesenteric Artery (SMA) Syndrome and Nutcracker Syndrome, two rare and debilitating intestinal conditions that cause severe pain, digestive issues, and long-term health complications.

Although Alana is finally home after an extended hospitalization, she is still unable to work or fully care for her children while navigating these chronic illnesses. Everyday tasks remain incredibly difficult, and her family is carrying the heavy burden of both emotional and financial strain.
