Starr—severe dog bite
Dear friends and loved ones,
As the scripture says in Galatians 6:2, "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
I am reaching out to ask you to help bear a heavy burden for my dear friend, Starr Vegan Love 💞.
For the past six months, she has been walking through an agonizing season of relentless physical trials, and she desperately needs our support.
Six months ago, Starr suffered a severe dog bite that left her with nine deep puncture wounds on her left hand.
The incident caused major nerve and tendon damage. To make matters worse, hydrogen peroxide was poured on the wounds immediately after it happened. Her doctor explained that this severely damaged the tissue, which is why this healing process has been so incredibly difficult and prolonged.
The trauma has also triggered a severe neurological response: the extreme pain in her left hand is now mirroring in her right hand.
Because both of her hands have been in agonizing pain for half a year, simply functioning and taking care of her basic daily needs has become nearly impossible.
Like Job, Starr's body is fighting battles on multiple fronts right now. Alongside the ongoing trauma to her hands, she is dealing with a torn right shoulder that needs to be repaired, as well as severe plantar fasciitis in both feet, making it painful for her to even stand or walk.
The compounding physical pain and lack of mobility over these last six months have been entirely overwhelming.
She needs help with daily expenses of life like food and remaining in her home.
