Starting over
Headline: Out of the wreckage, a new path forward.
Exactly one year ago today, I chose a path of sobriety. It was a choice I had to make after hitting absolute rock bottom. In a short period, I lost nearly everything—my marriage ended under incredibly painful circumstances, I lost my home, and I had to start over with nothing but the clothes on my back and a determination to change my life.
Today, I am proud to say I am one year sober, healthy, and completely focused on rebuilding a stable, independent future.
The Plan: Mobile Mechanics & Aviation Maintenance
I am currently enrolled in school for my Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) certification. It’s a rigorous two-year program that will set me up for a fantastic career, but in the meantime, I need to work. Because of my schedule and the gap in my employment history, finding a traditional job has been incredibly difficult.
To support myself and pay for school, I am launching my own business as a Mobile Mechanic.
I have years of hands-on mechanical experience and the skills to fix everything from everyday commuter cars to heavy machinery. By taking my skills on the road, I can offer affordable, convenient repair services directly to people's homes and workplaces, while maintaining the flexible schedule I need to finish my degree.
Why I Need Your Help
I have the drive, the skills, and the sobriety. What I don't have are the tools. When I lost my previous life, I lost my equipment. To get this business off the ground safely and legally, I need to raise funds for:
- Professional Toolsets: Wrenches, diagnostic scanners, sockets, jacks, and specialty automotive tools.
- Initial Business Costs: Basic liability insurance, business registration, and initial marketing (flyers, cards).
- Reliable Transport Setup: Organizing my vehicle to efficiently haul gear to roadside jobs.
A Investment in a Second Chance
Every dollar raised here goes directly toward purchasing the physical tools I need to earn a living. This isn't just a handout; it is an investment in a second chance. By helping me buy these tools, you are giving me the independence to work my way through school and build a secure future.
