Breed discriminatory laws and ordinances in Missouri municipalities are forcing families to give up their pets based on breed alone. We have families that have had pets for years with no negative animal behavior issues, only to have a disgruntled neighbor call and complain to their city official that they have an illegal dog breed. We have families with dogs that resemble a banned breed being threatened with posible seizure of their pets and fines.  These are pets that have done nothing wrong, no behavior issues.   These families are forced to move or re-home their pets if they cannot take on the legal battle and costs associated with that. We have a team of attorneys willing to offer their services at a reduced rate, sometimes pro bono. The money raised will be used to cover some attorney fees, court costs and filing fees for these families.
