Moving Forward: Helping Maurita Get Back on the Road
I’m reaching out to my community for help during a difficult transition. Recently, I put my life on hold to move to a rural area and serve as a safety provider for my sister’s children while she navigated personal challenges.
While I am so happy to say that she is doing much better, the sacrifice came with a heavy cost: I lost my job, and my car broke down shortly after.
The Situation
Living in a rural area with no public transportation has left me stranded. I am ready and eager to return to work and rebuild my independence, but I am currently stuck in a "catch-22"—I need a vehicle to reach any place of employment.
My Goal
I am raising $3000 to purchase a reliable used vehicle. This isn't just about a car; it’s about:
- Employment: Being able to commute to a new job.
- Independence: Moving forward with my own life now that my family is stable.
- Reliability: Having a safe way to navigate a community without transit options.
