We have a Houston Police Family that is in need of our love and support NOW!

40 year old, Officer Ruby Roman, a 13 year veteran of the Houston Police Department was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer after going to the doctor for a persistent cough. The CT identified a large lung mass, later confirmed to be non-small cell cancer. Her follow up studies identified metastasis to her spine, hips, and lymph nodes. She was sent home and told to enjoy her family for the next six to 12 months.😢... there was no hope!

Being the ReLEntless mom of 2 boys (four and eight years) she chose to fight this horrible disease, and has elected to begin chemotherapy with aggressive radiation. She is not going to accept that 12 month diagnosis. She is a true blue fighter! 

A follow up MRI has revealed the cancer had spread to her brain, shortening her original 12 month diagnosis. Still unwilling to give up, she has begun her aggressive treatment this week.

Officer Will Davis, her husband, is also a Houston Police Officer out of SW Command, and has lost both parents to cancer. He has chosen to stay home with her and the boys, burning all of his vacation and sick time.

In the picture posted above, Ruby is taking her two boys to their first day of school.....believing this is the last time these boys will have this opportunity! To know, this is the last FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, is simply heartbreaking!
