Hi everyone! My name is Ashley Franklin, and I am a junior Dance and Choreography major with a psychology minor at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). I am a third-year Dean’s List student, originally from Houston, Texas, where I studied at the Kinder High School for Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) and have been dancing since I was two years old. One of my lifelong dreams has always been to dance and perform around the world, and this opportunity has recently been offered to me.

As I accept my offer to study abroad in London for the spring semester at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, I will need as much financial assistance as possible to cover my travel, housing, and school fees. Studying abroad will inspire me in new creative ways that transcend traditional American norms. Bringing new cultural insights will push boundaries and enrich our dance community for generations to come. This opportunity to immerse myself in new aspects of contemporary dance at renowned institutions is a rare chance that will grant me a new perspective that will last my entire career.

I would be deeply grateful if you would consider supporting me in any amount that feels feasible to you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering investing in artists who want to build a healthier future for our field!
