Re-entry with Dignity

The Nail and Skin Bar Institute was created to assist first-time, nonviolent felony offenders with successful community reentry.

The Nail and Skin Bar Institute is a 501(c)3 organization that caters specifically to the primary and immediate reentry needs of women. Qualified participants will complete the requirements for the Tennessee Manicurist License. The program is made up of 600 hours in the practice and theory of manicuring. Additional life skills courses make up the 8-month curriculum.

Yolanda Johnson, founder of the thriving Nail and Skin Bar, established the institute to support women, who like her, seek independence, opportunity, and dignity after incarceration.
