From July 15th to August 5th, I will be interning with Hope Alive in the Philippines. Hope Alive is a faith-based pregnancy clinic that provides free medical care to mothers in vulnerable situations. Their vision is “Sharing Christ’s love through Excellent Healthcare”, and they achieve this through prenatal and postnatal care, delivering babies, discipling mothers through Bible studies and mentorship programs, community outreach, Gospel sharing, and family planning. The heart behind Hope Alive’s mission is that Christ's name would be known among the mothers and families that come to their clinic, and that the Gospel would transform their lives and hearts. I will also be working with Hope Alive’s sister ministry, Hope Rescue, an EMS group that focuses on providing medical care and Gospel outreach to disadvantaged communities in the rural areas near Manila, Philippines.
