Summer is here and our unhoused neighbors could utilize our support again. The New Years project was a success in providing winter supplies to over 200 of our unhoused neighbors.
Summer supplies help our unhoused neighbors survive.
We are hoping to collect enough financial and physical donations for 300 bags by July 16th so we can purchase needed goods and put together bags by August 6th for distribution.
The bags will be distributed to the outdoor camps as well as the Lawrence Community Shelter. Financial donations and physical donations that we are hoping to acquire are listed below:
Backpacks
Water Bottles
Sunscreen
Bug Spray
Lotion
Aloe vera
Chapstick
Sunglasses
Work Shoes and Flip Flops
Hats
AA and AAA batteries
First aid supplies
Ready to eat snacks and food
Physical donations can be collected by contacting Kevin at 785 505 0039 or Alex at 480 334 4877, or can be dropped off with us at Watson Park from noon-2pm on June 24, July 8th, or July 22.
