Support a struggling mom
2024 has been incredibly challenging for us.
My youngest child, who is a preemie (11 months old, adjusted to 9.5 months, but developmentally about 5 months), is facing multiple complications related to prematurity, including food aversion (formula, bottle, and real baby food), requiring feeding therapy. He has also suffered from severe respiratory illnesses for the past two months.
My oldest, at 15, has unfortunately experienced severe early childhood trauma, resulting in a range of mental health issues, including debilitating PTSD, dissociative disorders, and others. For the past two years, she has been in and out of various acute and long-term care facilities. Although she showed some improvement after her most recent discharge, things remain very unstable.
My Irish twins, aged 5 and 6, also have numerous issues related to their prematurity and their sister's mental illness. They require various therapies, including speech and play therapy.
Due to the severity of my daughter's mental illness and the various therapies needed for all four children, I am currently unable to work. The constant need for my presence, appointments, and emergencies makes maintaining a job impossible.
My husband works as a mechanic, putting in 60 hours a week, but we are still struggling.
We need financial assistance for:
- Mortgage, which is two months behind
- Electric bill, one month behind
- Phone bill, one month behind
- Car payment, one month behind
- Car brakes, which are dangerously worn out (estimated $500 for parts at cost)
- Our bank account is currently negative due to unexpected medical expenses for the baby
- Clothing for all the kids, as they have outgrown their current clothes; the older kids are wearing last year's summer clothes, and the baby has only a few onesies
- Summer items, back-to-school clothes, and school supplies
- Diapers and wipes, as we are down to our last box
- Gas for the car to get everyone to their appointments
We deeply appreciate you taking the time to read this.
If you are able to donate, we are immensely grateful. If you cannot or choose not to donate, we still appreciate your positive thoughts and support.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, from me and my babies.
