Support Amina BCBA Dream

I am a first-generation American and the first in my family to pursue a graduate degree. As someone living with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), I’ve faced significant challenges—both financially and educationally. Despite these obstacles, I remain committed to completing my master’s degree and becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This will allow me to support young people, eliminate societal stigma around mental health and autism spectrum disorders, and expand awareness both here in the U.S. and in my native country, Sierra Leone.

Growing up as a first-generation American in a hardworking immigrant family, I witnessed the transformative power of education. However, I also saw the barriers that can make achieving higher education seem impossible. Pursuing this degree has been a labor of love—not just for myself, but for the communities I hope to serve.

As someone living with MDD, I’ve experienced firsthand how mental health struggles can affect every aspect of life, including finances and education. Despite these challenges, I am determined to achieve my goals. Completing this degree will empower me to provide life-changing behavioral and mental health services for children and families who need it most.

As a Behavior Analyst I want to:

- Work with young people to promote mental health and destigmatize autism spectrum disorders.

- Create community-based programs that make mental health resources more accessible.

- Share my expertise in Sierra Leone, where mental health resources and autism awareness are urgently needed.

Your support will not only help me reach my educational goals but will also ripple outward to benefit countless others through the work I aspire to do.

What I Need:

Your donation will go directly toward tuition, fees, and necessary materials for my program. Every dollar brings me closer to making a difference for families and communities who need someone in their corner.

Why It Matters:

By helping me complete my degree, you’re not just supporting one person—you’re contributing to a mission to uplift mental health advocacy, autism awareness, and social equity. Together, we can break down barriers and build brighter futures.
